God In China (Double feature with Road of Hope)

God and country don't necessarily mix in China, where leaders have long harbored an antireligious bias. This documentary shines a light on that uncomfortable relationship, showing how common people go to uncommon lengths to practice their faith. Through interviews with believers and representatives of both government-sanctioned and "underground" churches, the film explores the fine line that exists between tolerance and persecution in China.
