Submit Work

Submissions for our upcoming festival, set for February 2011, will begin in the Summer of 2010. The filmmakers’ guidlines for submissions are as follows:

Content for all submitted work must be of a positive and conscientious nature and may be of short or feature length. Profanity and nudity must be justified as art rather than pure shock value. We are looking for films that are raw and enlightening, films that entertain but can also strike discussions, films that display our struggles as well as our triumphs and remind us of the true meaning of our humanity.

In order to submit a film, the filmmaker must download the necessary release form
(found here: http://jp2filmfestival.com/festival_09/submit.html).
Please read it carefully, sign it, and mail it along with the film(s) being submitted.

All submissions may be sent to:

Who We Are

"In order to communicate the message entrusted to her by Christ, the Church needs art. Art must make perceptible, and as far as possible attractive, the world of the spirit, of the invisible, of God. "

-Pope John Paul II

The John Paul II International Film Festival is purely modeled after the values and ideals of the late—Great—Pope John Paul II. Our festival features films that uphold human dignity, the sanctity of life, Christian unity, as well as (true) freedom and responsibility. Much like John Paul II, we believe in the power of evangelizing through film by showcasing the beauty, complexity, trials, and triumphs of the human life.
